Some suggest mixing 1:1 ratio of vinegar made for apple cider and hydrogen peroxide (clothes bleach), dipping your feet 45 minutes regularly for several days. Check if this removes the fungus, if it does continue using it.

  • Topical creams and pills

There are available topical creams and toenail treatment pills that will aid in removing the fungus. Consult your doctor and ask for a prescription for some of the effective types of creams and pills needs prescription from a doctor.

  • Surgical removal of the nail

As this type of toenail treatment suggest, this is removing your nail. Consult your doctor if you are planning to use this method. This method is for those cases in which your nail has completely deteriorated and obviously standard curing treatments won’t work.

The best thing to do is have good and proper foot hygiene and nail care if you want to avoid all the complications and costs. Of course, remember to consult your doctor about this just to be sure.
